High strength heat resistant cotton pulp sheet has been specially developed for the production of wet-laid friction materials, as well as for the manufacture of cotton-fibre-containing products in various non-traditional paper mills.
1. High strength heat resistant cotton pulp sheet consists of 100% cotton fibre, making feeding and defibering quick and convenient; simply passing it through a hydraulic pulper is sufficient to disperse the paper waste and break it down into individual fibres.
2. The fibres in this high strength heat resistant cotton pulp sheet have undergone a combing treatment and possess inherent refining (26–28 SR0); there is no need for time-consuming refining using a refiner.
3. The fibre length of this high strength heat resistant cotton pulp sheet is suitable for papermaking on a paper machine; the fibres exhibit strong inter-fibre bonding and guaranteed porosity (wet weight 17–19 g).
4. High strength heat resistant cotton pulp sheet is produced from premium cotton fibres, which can only be pulped using specialised processes and formed on specialised paper machines. It possesses exceptionally high strength metrics, several times that of ordinary cotton pulp (measured at 85 g/m²: average tensile strength in both directions 3.8 kN/m; burst strength 224 kPa).
